Ankara Urban Atlas is a collaborative work of graduate student in METU Department of Architecture. The Atlas
has six chapters where each chapter focuses on a specific quality of the city of Ankara. The book has four introductory chapters where theoretical perspectives on the overall organization of the city is presented by the instructors of the Faculty. The theoretical discussions are followed by consecutive chapters of analysis conducted by graduate students. The city’s; urban form, transformation processes, ecological qualities, urban centres, and transportation network has been analysed in consecutive chapter together with a general comparison of the city with other cities of the world. The study was conducted as a part of ARCH 723 Course under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Güven Arif Sargın. The publication was financed by The Chamber of Architects
